ARCH ENEMY's "Wages Of Sin" To Receive Special US/European Release In April
January 6, 2002ARCH ENEMY's critically-acclaimed latest studio effort, 2001's Wages Of Sin, will finally receive its long-anticipated US/European release through Century Media Records in April via a special double-CD package that will contain plenty of rare material not included on the original album. Among the extra material that is set to be featured in the new package is the unreleased bonus track (“Lament Of A Mortal Soul”) that was recorded for the Japanese version of Wages Of Sin but omitted from the album's final track listing due to the record's length, a video for the song “Ravenous” (off Wages…),as well as numerous bonus and rare cuts that were recorded during former vocalist Johan Liiva's tenure with the band (including a cover version of JUDAS PRIEST's “Starbreaker” originally meant for the PRIEST tribute album that was released through Century Media several years back),plus various video clips that were lensed during the same period. As previously reported, ARCH ENEMY will play their first show with new vocalist Angela Gossow (who also happens to be guitarist Michael Amott's girlfriend of the past two years) on March 9th in Osaka, Japan. The group's previously scheduled 2001 gigs had to be cancelled due to Gossow being diagnosed with nodules on her vocal cords.
